Biographical Info

Dr. Harrington has a PhD in Computer Science from Brandeis University and completed postdoctoral training in Pathology at Harvard Medical School. His work in computational biology, image analysis, and artificial life focuses on spatiotemporal modeling of developmental and regenerative systems. His computational modeling work has predicted fundamental mechanisms of multicellular organization during angiogenesis, and led to the design of computational circuits composed of synthetic chemical cells. His active research focuses on data-driven modeling techniques for cell culture, organoids, planaria, slime mold, gastropods, zebrafish, cuttlefish, frog, axolotl, mouse, and human.
