Dr. Baumgaertner is a formal philosopher with interdisciplinary experience in computer science. His research focuses on modeling the emergence of population-level phenomena from interacting, boundedly rational agents. Dr. Baumbaertner is the director Project 3 which uses agent-based modeling to understand co-infection dynamics at the population level. He also leads the Social-Epi working group.
