Biographical Info
Onesmo B. Balemba is a collaborator on Dr. Tanya Miura’s research project focusing on how unrelated respiratory viral co-infections change disease severity compared to single infections. He is responsible for evaluating host responses by analyzing lung pathology in a mouse model of mixed viral infections. Dr. Balemba’s research programs are the pathophysiology of injuries to the enteric nervous system in type two diabetes and identification of antidiarrheal, antinociceptive compounds from Garcinia buchananii Stem Bark.
