Tanya Miura
Chair and Professor Department of Biological SciencesBiographical Info
Dr. Miura’s research program is focused on understanding the role of immune responses in viral pathogenesis within the respiratory tract. She studies the orchestration of immune responses by infected lung epithelial cells and the pathological consequences of these responses. Project 1 is an extension of these studies in which she will evaluate how infection by two respiratory viruses affects disease severity.
In addition to directing Project 1, Dr. Miura also leads the CoHo working group and is the co-leader of the MoVIES working group.
